We Love Lehi

From the last week in June to the last week of July in Utah you can find parades, fireworks, picnics, celebrations and American flags EVERYWHERE! Between Lehi Round Up week, Independence Day and Pioneer Day on the 24th of July Utah is partying!

I was telling my friends that my July blogs every year are all about the same only we are all a year older. We definitely do a lot of the same activities and traditions and are with a lot of the same family and friends.

The last week of June is the week of the Lehi Round Up.
Monday night was Lehi's Got Talent at Wines Park. Our dear friend kicked off the week with the National Anthem!

There are activities and movies all week and then Thursday is the all horse parade. (I think the rest of the month is all downhill from here for Matt) ;)

Thursday night is the rodeo and I think the clowns at this rodeo are on to our tradition idea of doing the exact same thing every year. We've heard all those jokes many times before, but we still had a great time!

It seems like our ward has talked about doing a float in the Friday's kid's parade for a long time and this year we finally did! The families in charge of putting this together did a FANTASTIC job! The kids had a great time and looked awesome!!

We had a fun time watching all 4 girls in the parade, but we sure missed sitting and hanging out with them. They had a great time! Kierra really has the princess wave down!

These two are Kaylee and Kierra's age and we just thought it was funny how worn out the little ones were that had been pulled all around by their older siblings! ;)

The kids really did have a great time!
We sure LOVE Lehi and all of the festivities!

Provo's Freedom Festival was on July 2nd. We have always heard about the amazing parade down there and how people camp out to get their spots and so this year we decided to go. It was a good time! I don't know if it's worth the crowds and craziness.... but it was fun! We had a tons of fun hanging out with cousins on this day!

Matt loved the Star Wars float! (he took those pictures) :)

Kierra loved waving to the princesses! Thomas loved the characters too!

The girls were hot, but we had a great time!

Our Heber cousins came down for dinner and we had a great time singing with the guitars and piano. Later that night we went down to the cul-de-sac for the neighborhood fireworks show!

And the fun doesn't stop there! This is turning into quite the post! This is just how the summer goes!
On the 23rd of July Lehi had their annual Foam Fest! The first year they did this it was pretty low key, but WOW there were tons of people this year! We always love to go! It took Thomas a little while to figure out what was going on, but all he had to do was watch his sisters and do as they do! He was awesome! It is a wild and crazy party!

After getting cleaned up from the Foam Fest we had a little bit of a nap time and then went to another annual party with some amazing friends! We always have a great time here eating, visiting and playing a few little games.

Also in Lehi, every Sunday night, there is a concert series; Arts in the Park at Wines Park. Some great friends of ours from Crescendo Quartet performed on the 24th of July! They are so talented and so fun to watch! Summer evenings at Wines Park are always fun and relaxing!

We have been here almost 8 years and can hardly believe it! We LOVE it here! We love being in the city, but also feeling like we are still a little bit small town! We love to be able to celebrate our country and our heritage! We are so blessed to live in this great country where so many have fought and suffered everything to give us the many opportunities that we have to work, worship and play as we please. We see so much sadness and darkness in this world, but at the same time there really is so much reason to celebrate!! All is well! All is well!

What a busy month July is-at least it is all fun stuff! We love it here too, so many great people and great things to do.
