No longer pacified

Isn't she soooo cute with that binkie?! Actually her smile and little personality are much much cuter without the plug! We've had a couple of rough nights but we were having rough nights before when the binkie would fall out, she'd wake up screaming trying to find it and then stayup for a couple of hours after. Life is really soooo much better with that thing gone!! Next big milestone for her....potty training...I'll wait another year before I stress about that one!

Our first full week of school has been a great one! The girls have had a great time and really love their teachers! Taylor lost this crooked tooth on the 2nd day! She was so excited!!

The next day we got to go up to Salt Lake to hear the girls sing the National Anthem with the Children's choir. I wish I had taken more pictures. That morning Matt's parents came down and went to the temple with us and then stayed the rest of the day to go to the game. Our friends Monica and Katelyn were with us too. Maybe they took more pictures for us!! :)

Awesome friends!!

TJ's first baseball game!!
(not quite as cool as the Little League World Series where Grandpa has been all week--but still fun!!)

They had some amazing fireworks after the game! Emily didn't really enjoy it at first. She's seen them before but we were closer than we have been before--she thought that the fire was gonna end up right in our laps! Kierra was pretty terrified at first too!

It really was a great night! Taylor is just to the left of our amazing director and Kaylee is just to the right (both in the front row). Oh--and notice the doves that fly by at the end. I had no idea that was coming until one brushed right by my arm. Scared me to death!! :) GO BEES!!

End of Summer, Beginning of Routine!!

Wow!! We had a great summer! It was busy with lots of excitement! Believe it or not I was excited to set the alarm the last two mornings because that means we are going to be in a routine. It also means that TJ is sleeping well enough that I feel like getting up when an alarm goes off! The girls had a GREAT 1st day and I can't wait 'till they get home to start the weekend!

The girls were very excited a couple of weeks ago when they heard the classes were posted at the school. We jumped right in the van with some friends to see who Kaylee and Taylor would have for teachers and to see what friends they'd have! They both lucked out big time with the friends they get to be with. They are very excited!!

So, here they are on the first day!!

We sent them off on their bikes, then drove ourselves to the school to get more pictures!

They found lots of friends right away!!

And check out the picture of Kaylee below. For those of you that know those cute girls, can you believe those 3 are all in the same class together?! Talk about a party!! Taylor also got to be with some great friends. Below is her friend from gymnastics and then she was very excited that her desk was directly facing her other friend that lives a couple of doors down.

Here is Taylor listening to her teacher as they are walking in. I have heard nothing but good things about both of their teachers!!

And of course we had to take pictures of the 2nd day of school too! I sure miss my girls, but I am very excited that they are having fun with friends and learning so much from amazing teachers! I know they will do so well!

One reason I will really miss the girls is because they have been such great helps with TJ. Right after the girls left that first day we came right in and gave this boy a bath. We are afraid he is a puker. He's not nearly as bad as Kaylee was, but it still stinks--literally.

Numbered List

So, hello routine and goodbye to a wonderful summer!! Here are the girls with their summer literacy center tutors. Emily's tutor has had all of the girls and made that green blanket for TJ. She is truly amazing and Emily is really looking forward to going to her class again in a couple weeks!

We took one last trip to Laramie last weekend. Matt had a company picnic there and my future sister-in-law had her bridal shower. Isn't she the cutest! We are very excited for Morgan and Jackson and their family!

We got to see Grandpa for a couple of hours on his pit stop from the Western Regionals in San Bernardino to the Little League World Series in Williamsport. Someday TJ will really appreciate the souvenirs!!

Hopefully even with school starting we can still enjoy lazy Sunday afternoons...

...and more visits with cousins!

Of course there will always be dancing and gymnastics in this house. Soccer also started up which has been so fun! I haven't taken pictures of that yet, but I will. The girls took dance lessons again from the same girls they took from last year. It is fun for them to just ride their bikes down the street twice a week and do something fun together. Although it was kinda crazy, I hope they will have more times of being cute and dolled up for a dance or music recital and then changing and running to some sort of sports practice or game! I love to watch how much fun they have in all that they do!!

These last 2 videos are a little long and hard to see. Maybe I'll have the girls do the "shrek dance" in our living room for a closer and better picture.

Friends

My brother Dale is the man. Ok, his friends are pretty awesome too! Ross and Rachel are still the cutest couple!

(1st day of school pictures coming soon. First we have a dance recital and then a soccer game at the same time as a soccer practice--lots of pictures to come!)

Lehi Children's Choir

I have had a few people ask about the Children's Choir that I play the piano for and that my girls have been in. Here is this year's flier for more information.

And...if you want to see the kids sing the National Anthem at a Salt Lake Bees game come this Saturday night, August 22 before the 7:00 game. There will even be fireworks after the game. It is sure to be a fun night!! (This video is from last year!)

More Reunion Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from the reunion. None of these pictures are mine. Is that bad?! I love these pictures. My sister DJ took most of them and a couple belong to cousins. I really wanted to show off the ones of Thomas! I didn't even have to worry about hair for the photo shoot! This boy stuff is fun! I sure love my little man!

I want to know how to make our family picture the size I want it on the right hand side over there. Right now it's too big, but if I do "shrink to fit" than it is way too small. Any helpful hints!

Here are DJ and TJ and also DJ's daughter. Thanks DJ for all the great pictures! You look awesome on this side of the camera!!

More pictures...More fun!!
