Another weekend in Wyoming

3 weekends in a row to Wyoming! It was a lot of travelling, but a lot of fun! We knew Matt needed to do some work in Laramie soon and since the girls had Thursday and Friday off for fall break it just made sense for us all to go together even though we had just been there for Homecoming. It probably would've made more sense to have just stayed longer the first time and have the girls miss some school, but it all worked out. (and the weather was great for travelling!)

The girls had drug free week for the 3 days before fall break. On Tuesday they had to wear a shirt from their favorite sports team! I was thinking they would wear their soccer jerseys, but Grandpa has taught them well! (sorry Dad for almost messing that one up) ;)

Then...what kid wouldn't want to go to school in pjs for their birthday?! It was PJ day and crazy hair day on Wednesday which worked out perfect for picking girls up from school and driving 'till late at night. Kaylee had a great birthday getting to celebrate at home before school and then at Grandma and Grandpa Hoopes' late at night! Her class at school treated her well too writing notes to her in a book and giving her a crown. She had a blast!

We went an hour further east this time to visit Matt's sister in Cheyenne! The kids had so much fun with their cousins! It was great to visit them. We definitely need to get there more often!

Homecoming

Another great weekend in Wyoming!! We sure love going back. I miss my family so much! It is always so relaxing and fun to be able to go to the games and to church and to just hang out. We do wish our teams could've done better, but hey--at least the weather was nice. We thought we'd be sitting in a blizzard. Instead, the only snow we saw was on the way home and in Utah.

So here is a quick recap and then you can just look at the pictures. We left on Thursday and hung out with Grandpa on the roof. After last spring's tornado the house needed new shingles. Here is an article about the tornado. A lot of the pictures in the article (click through to see them) are from my parent's neighborhood. The boy on the bike with the video camera would be my brother Dale. (did I say boy? I mean MAN!! (and if I could whistle I would))

Actually Kaylee is the only one I let hang out up there. She had a blast with her Grandpa, uncles and cousins. I hate when I don't get pictures of everyone. These are of Jackson and his kids. I don't know what I was doing when Brian and his kids were there. They all had a fun time!

Saturday was the homecoming parade and football game. The kids have been very happy with the candy they have been getting and will continue to get this month. ....sigh....the dentist will love us I guess.... A highlight of the weekend was being able to have some friends of ours from Utah (yes they are Utah fans) come with us this weekend. Well, not come with us--they drove up on Friday. As we were texting back and forth through the day I got a picture of them behind THE bus!! They said the roads were great but "Too bad we are stuck behind this!" Well, DJ's husband happened to be on the bus which later Kaylee and Matt got to ride in the parade. It was so much fun! We had a blast with our Ute fans! We sent them home with some Wyoming souvenirs and they sent us home with another loss. :( It was fun though! We still love our Cowboys and Cowgirls!

I know my family had their picture taken in front of the bus too, but that must've just been with Monica's camera. I'll have to post it later!

We are Wyoming

Before I go back through some of my past. I have to post this video for Daddy. Kierra is 10 1/2 months and already trying to keep up with her sisters. (our camera is getting worse and worse--I had some other great videos, but they were so fuzzy)

Okay--now to party like it's 1999!! How can I add "We are Wyoming" to my playlist? This is the only video I could find. I wish I had better pictures from this reunion. Mine all turned out so dark.

So, as my husband gets to be back in my hometown, sleeping in my old house, eating my mom's cooking, I get to stay here and pretend to get something done. Actually, the girls did start gymnastics this week which has been so much fun and has kept us busy. More pictures of them to come. Anyway, I don't sleep much when Matt is gone, therefore I have no energy and so instead of working I spend my time sitting at the computer. This week has been especially fun though as I have reconnected with tons of old friends in the last couple of days. I must apologize to all of them though, because I feel like I have just barely got this blogging thing down--that "other" website--well, I just haven't figured it out yet. I also must apologize, because I have had fun reminiscing and since some of these pictures were already conveniently scanned for the reunion they were just too easy to put on here. So enjoy! (you should be able to click on any of the pictures to get a better look) ;)

Of course we have to start with the best band ever!
Here are 2 pictures from then:

And one from now (well, two years ago):

And who remembers "Silver Goose"?!

Some of you girls I haven't talked to forever! Krista! I miss you! When will you be in Wyoming again?!

The homestays!!

I remember having some other great pictures from the Nebraska trip above. For me, this was all pre-digital so I'm not about to search for them. (I think of all of the pictures I could've had with a digital camera!)

Back stage--and in? stage?

Yes, I conveniently left out the splash mountain picture!

I have been excited to hear from so many of you again! "Singer's Rock! 'Till they..."....ok....sorry. I'll come back to 2008 again! Love you all!
