Wearing down I80

May never fails to be as busy as ever. There are so many projects and activities that are winding down and we all must travel and get to as many things as we possibly can. On May 1st, the girls and I took a day trip to Rock Springs, WY. I was glad to spend some time with my 3 oldest. I know that lately they haven't gotten the attention they need because the other 2 seem to steal it all. We had a lot of fun watching their cousin in a gymnastics exhibition, going out to dinner, and then seeing Dale perform in The Music Man! He was amazing!!

The next weekend we had my sister, her husband and baby Oakley come and visit. They were in town for a wedding and then we got to hang out with them Friday night and Saturday. Kaylee was very excited that Aunt Abby got to watch her cheer leading pep rally and then they were so nice to come to our ward talent show right after. The next morning we woke up and took Oakley to the zoo! We also went swimming that afternoon. The girls love their cousin Oakley. He is growing up way too fast!!

The weekend after that (May 14, 15 and 17) the girls had their Lehi Children's Choir performances. Both my parents and Matt's parents were able to come and watch. Uncle Dale also came. He was the choreographer for the older choir so he was excited to see both groups.

My family was able to stay the night then go bowling and play some games. Dad was killing us in bananagrams....until we saw the words he spelled. What?! You mean you can't just make up your own words and your own spellings?

Then last Sunday we again took the 2 1/2 hour trek to Rock Springs to be with my sister's family as her husband was called to be the Bishop of their ward. We debated on whether or not we really needed to go, but WOW! I am so glad that we did! DJ and David sang a song together and then they each spoke. It was a very powerful meeting. My little sister has always been such an example to me! I was in a meeting recently where Sister Dalton, the General Young Women's president, talked about women being "refined, lovely and elect". As DJ stood up there as the Bishop's wife those 3 words came to mind, as well as graceful, meek, humble and beautiful! Sure, I suppose the whole weekend was about David, I mean Bishop Stauffer...and the words he spoke were also incredible, but these two as a team will do amazing things! We love you guys and we were so blessed to have been there! Hopefully you can find time to come see us soon! (mostly cause I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of your cute kiddos) :)

May is almost done, school is almost out and summer is almost here. The blog will be hoppin' with cheer leading, choir, gymnastics and school programs. Yikes!! I don't know how I'll ever keep up!
