Fall Soccer Season

All summer long Emily went to gymnastics with Taylor and had a ton of fun, but has really been itching to try new things.  At the end of the summer both she and Kierra decided that they really wanted to try soccer!  Emily had played a couple of years ago and this was Kierra's first chance to try anything!  They had a blast and they were so fun to watch out there!  Both of these girls are super quick!  Their little feet just go go go!!

They had fun hanging out with friends at the games!

I wish I had taken more pictures.  I didn't even get an official individual of each girl.  :(  But we do have good team shots.  Emily was one of the younger ones on a team of 3rd and 4th graders!  She was little but quick and good!  She loved playing forward especially when the combination of girls was just right and they could really run and pass!  She learned a lot from 2 amazing coaches and wants to play again in the spring!
Kierra's team was just way too cute!  A bunch of little kindergarteners that hadn't even started school when the season started.  By the end they had recognized each other at school and became great friends!  Kierra was a star!  I think it definitely helps to have an older sister to watch.  She knew exactly where to be all the time!  :)  Her coach has been a boys football coach so it was fun at the first game to even watch him teach these squirly little girls how to do the high five line at the end!  He was so fun...Kierra had the best time!
After soccer Emily tried a few weeks of horse lessons.  She really loved it and we loved the boy that taught her.  It was just kinda a tough deal.  She likes the social part of activities.  And being able to practice or play or dance at home.  She just couldn't do that with the horses.  We wish she could.  Matt really wishes he could buy a house with land for horses, or if nothing else find a place to board a horse where the kids could ride more than once a week.  She did love it, but it didn't last long and she'll go on to try basketball in January and hopefully soccer in the spring.  She talks about dance too.  We'll just have to see!  :)
